 We have two kayaks and a large tripper canoe available for our guests to use. There are many interesting places to explore by canoe or kayak.​Most interesting are several small islands, depending on how far you are willing to go. The fishing spots around the nearest island are quite good (the pelicans have noticed and can often be found nearby)

Hot Tub

Located on the deck, facing the lake, perfect to use in both summer and winter, day or night.

Fishing

The fishing in this area is very well known throughout Manitoba. If you are looking to fish, this location is a must. A narrow pass under the bridge and two man-made limestone peninsulas surrounding the boat docks makes a perfect inlet for fishing, and is only a couple minutes walk from the chalet. There are many other good fishing spots distributed throughout the area, for example an island south-west of the chalet.  Ice fishing is also very popular in the winter. Great for beginner and experienced anglers!

Boating

Docking is available, bring your own boat for fishing, tubing or maybe just a nice relaxing cruise. 

Beach

There is a small sandy beach.

Wildlife

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area, from various rodents, amphibians, and small reptiles (like the seasonal garter snakes in spring) to large mammals like coyotes, elk, whitetail deer and black bears.  The most abundant animals you will see are birds. The variety of waterfowl found in large numbers can be astounding, especially during migration,
​with hundreds of geese, pelicans and cormorants floating on the lake, fishing and socializing.  It is an amazing sight to see!

Quadding and Snowmobiling

Large Field

The area between the chalet and the lake is a large field perfect for children and adults to play games like tag, ultimate frisbee, soccer, football or whatever else you could think of to do in an open grassy space. 

Double Firepit

There is a double firepit behind the chalet, great for roasting smokies, marshmallows and other campfire foods. Relaxing around a fire with family or friends is a must when going out of town.

Restaurant & Bar

There is a good restaurant just a 5 minute walk from the chalet, if you don't feel like cooking.  Or, for those who are interested, there is also a licensed bar. Both are located in the main lodge building.
