Fishing
The fishing in this area is very well known throughout Manitoba. If you are looking to fish, this location is a must. A narrow pass under the bridge and two man-made limestone peninsulas surrounding the boat docks makes a perfect inlet for fishing, and is only a couple minutes walk from the chalet. There are many other good fishing spots distributed throughout the area, for example an island south-west of the chalet. Ice fishing is also very popular in the winter. Great for beginner and experienced anglers!

BeachThere is a small sandy beach.

WildlifeThere is an abundance of wildlife in the area, from various rodents, amphibians, and small reptiles (like the seasonal garter snakes in spring) to large mammals like coyotes, elk, whitetail deer and black bears. The most abundant animals you will see are birds. The variety of waterfowl found in large numbers can be astounding, especially during migration,
with hundreds of geese, pelicans and cormorants floating on the lake, fishing and socializing. It is an amazing sight to see! |
